Global Migration and Health: Beyond a Humanitarian Response
Date and time
-
On July 24, 2024, we discussed the latest trends in global migration and learned how countries are implementing health systems approaches to ensure access to essential health services for migrant and host communities. We heard perspectives from the World Health Organization (WHO), the US Agency for International Development (USAID), the Local Health System Sustainability Project (LHSS), and a Colombian civil society organization on key questions regarding the integration of migrants into national health systems, considerations for migrants and host communities, and strategies for promoting health equity.
This webinar was hosted as part of the USAID Health System Strengthening (HSS) Learning Series, an initiative of USAID's Office of Health Systems that convenes HSS practitioners to share, learn, and use HSS evidence to inform collective efforts to support sustainable health system strengthening.
