Engaging the Private Sector to End Malaria Faster: A Landscaping Analysis of Cote d’Ivoire, Democratic Republic of Congo, Liberia, and Uganda – Activity Final Report
Although the ongoing fight against malaria has made significant progress, malaria remains a major health issue in more than 80 countries. Countries and development partners are increasingly looking at market-based approaches and investments from the private sector to help bridge gaps in both resources and expertise to sustain results and accelerate progress.
This report describes key private sector players and their types of engagement in malaria programming in Cote d’Ivoire, Democratic Republic of Congo, Liberia, and Uganda. Its purpose is enable identification of priority private sector engagement opportunities that could be pursued at the country level for domestic resource mobilization and innovative market-oriented solutions to advance malaria control and elimination efforts.
