Health Systems Strengthening Practice Spotlight: Digital Financial Services for Health
Public health systems increasingly use digital technologies to improve decision-making, planning, implementation, and evaluation of health services. The rapid pace of digital innovation provides ongoing opportunities for governments and their partners to advance the accountability, affordability, accessibility, and reliability of high-quality health services. The Practice Spotlights Digital Health series supports USAID’s Vision for Health System Strengthening 2030 and Vision for Action in Digital Health by exploring the ways in which digital transformation can contribute to countries’ health system strengthening efforts. This brief includes a global evidence review of DFS for health conducted by LHSS and an analysis of two programmatic case studies of DFS for health by Management Sciences for Health (MSH) through the Digital Square initiative.
